Rose Armato, 93, a longtime resident of Lincoln Park, passed away on January 7, 2018.
Rose married Nino Armato in 1949 and the couple lived in New York before moving to Lincoln Park in 1964. Besides being a homemaker, Rose enjoyed working out side of the home which included working for Reuben H. Donnelley. She later worked for ARC where she assembled radios for Cessna aircrafts. In her free time she took pride in gardening, painting, and sewing. Rose will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many.
Rose is survived by her daughters, Linda Klausner of Gladstone, Doreen Fowlkes of Holmdel, and Laurie Iaccheo of Pompton Plains; her sister, Esther Giannattasio; her brother, Angelo Munni; her grandchildren, Melissa, Bryan, David, Andrew, Matthew, Nicole, Adam and Sara; and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Nino in 2010 and her brother, Benny in 2014.
Family and friends may visit from 4 to 8 pm on Monday, January 8 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 am on Tuesday at Our Lady of Good Counsel RC Church, Pompton Plains. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of the Magnificat Church Cemetery, Kinnelon.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
