Olga E. Hofer, 90, passed away December 24, 2021 at 12:10am.
Olga was born and raised in Yugoslavia. She met and married her late husband Johann Hofer in Salzburg Austria. Johann worked as a barber, Olga as a nurse. They left their lives to move to the United States to start a new life together. Once they reached the states, they started their new lives immediately. Johann worked as a mill operator and Olga as a seamstress. They were both hard workers. They moved from Passaic then settled in Pequannock NJ where they raised their family for a better life.
Olga being a seamstress, she had a passion for fashion and textile and design. She would put together wedding dresses, prom dresses curtains and drapery. She loved to make her children clothes with personal details just for them. She loved to share her talents with close friends and family members. Besides fashion design, Olga was a wrestling fan addict.
Olga and Johann worked very hard and gave anything to give their family what they needed and a better life. Even in hard times for the couple, Olga was the rock that held the family down and grounded them. She was supportive and loving. She was known to be "heaven sent" because of how much of an angel she was. Olga was blessed to have a son that took care of her, he was known as her angel.
Olga is survived by her children, Ditmar Hofer and Annamarie Kucharyk and her husband Ted; her daughter-in-law, Yolanda; her grandchildren, Jurgen Hofer and his wife Nicole, Christopher Hofer and his wife Julie, Megan Diakoloukas and her husband Apostolos, Philip Hofer and his wife Samantha, Jessica Kucharyk and Nicholas Kucharyk; her great-grandchildren, Delia and Benjamin Hofer, Landon, Lance and Harley Hofer, and Lily and Cali Hofer; as well as her niece, Nina Galluccio and her husband Bobby.
