Albino M. Castillo, 66, of Riverdale, passed away surrounded by his family on February 7, 2022.
Born in Batangas, Philippines, Albino earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Adamson University in Manila. He married Jocelyn Ybanez in 1985 and the couple moved to the US the next year, ultimately settling in Riverdale in 1997. A true entrepreneur with an incredible work ethic, Albino was a freelance photographer and owned Riverdale Limo & Car Service for many years. He was a proud active member of Alpha Phi Omega and a Freemason with Pyramid Lodge 490 in New York City. He loved his dogs, gardening, traveling, telling stories, and enjoying a good meal.
Albino is survived by his wife, Jocelyn; his daughters, Angelica, Hazel, and Leslie; his sisters, Valerie Jelski and Arcadia Gungon; and his brother, Gregorio Castillo.
Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 8 pm Thursday, February 17 and from 4 to 8 pm Friday, February 18 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A funeral Mass will be held 10 am Saturday, February 19 at Our Lady of Good Counsel RC Church, Pompton Plains. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Magnificat Cemetery, Kinnelon.
