Kenneth D Metzler

Kenneth D. Metzler, 91, of Pompton Plains since 1959 and formerly from Montclair, NJ, died on April 2, 2022.

Born in Montclair, Mr. Metzler married Kathryn Ann Grund of Montclair in 1954. He was the sole proprietor of his customized carpentry business. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Union and was previously employed as a model maker for Curtis Wright Corp. in Carlstadt.

Kenneth was a veteran of the US Navy Seabees MCB6, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a Cub master of Pack 75, Pequannock Twp. He was the recipient of the Bronze Pelican, a Catholic Scouting Award and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Navagh Council.

Kenneth is survived by his sons, Steven of Swords, Ireland, and Donald of Pompton Plains, NJ; his daughters in-law, Deirdre and Diane; and his grandsons, Reese and Ryan of Pompton Plains.  He was predeceased by his wife, Kathryn and his son, Robert.
