Daniel Ricciardi, 76, of Lincoln Park, passed away June 14, 2022.
Daniel was born to James and Rose Ricciardi and grew up in Garfield NJ. He attended William Paterson University graduating with a Bachelors in Education. He went on to become a teacher for Brooklawn Middle School in Parsippany. After teaching, Dan, went on to a career in sales as a manufacturer’s representative in the automotive industry. After 47 years, he retired at 72 as the President of Marc Alan Associates.
Dan met the love of his life, Vicki, in college. The couple raised their two children in Parsippany then settled in Lincoln Park. Dan and Vicki were married for 54 years. Dan was known for his remarkable work ethic to provide for his family. Dan achieved his dream by taking care of his family, sending both of his kids to college and watching them marry into loving, warm relationships.
Dan enjoyed woodworking, especially larger projects like furniture, as gifts for his friends and family. Dan could fix anything and would not leave any project undone. He was the handyman to call and would gladly assist others when needed. He loved college basketball, especially Villanova. But, Dan’s favorite thing to do was to entertain friends and family at his home. Daniel always loved to entertain pool parties and BBQs at his home.
He enjoyed debating the issues of the day and showed over and over he would always do the right thing even when no one was looking. He was a man of integrity, helpful and reliable to others. Dan was the rock of his family. He was generous and warm hearted. He was the type of person to open his home to others with welcoming arms.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife Vicki; his children Kelly Bartz and her husband Chris and Eric Ricciardi and his wife Donna; his brother James Ricciardi and his wife Michelle; his grandchildren Brayden and Sydney Bartz. He is predeceased by his sister Rosemarie Szilasi.
