Carmine ?Nooch? Caruso, 62, of Bloomingdale, formerly of Clifton and Belleville, died Tuesday, December 26, 2006. Born in East Orange, Carmine was the son of the late Joseph and Loretta (nee Haan) Caruso. Marrying Patricia Torlucci in 1969, the couple settled in Belleville, where he owned and managed The Third Rail clothing store. Moving to Clifton, he became active in the city?s youth, helping to coach his children?s softball, baseball and football teams. Carmine was a huge Yankees fan, and loved gaming in Atlantic City. Moving to Bloomingdale ten years ago, Carmine was a Receiver for Inserra Shop Rite Supermarkets in Mahwah. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Patricia of Bloomingdale; his son, Dominick of Bloomingdale; his daughters, Carmelanne Owens and her husband Shaun of Harpers Ferry, W.V., and Roslyn Funiciello and her husband Frank of East Stroudsburg; and his sisters, Josephine Haas and her husband Arthur, and Geraldine Carroll, all of Livingston. Funeral services will commence 9 a.m. Saturday from the funeral home, and will proceed to a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mary?s R.C. Church in Pompton Lakes. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
