Penni Khorsandpour

Penni Khorsandpour passed away June 23, 2020 surrounded by the love of her family.

Penni was born to George and Gertrude in 1949. She worked 15 years at Realogy in customer service. In 1972 she married the love of her life Abbas. The two of them later raised their daughters in Lincoln Park. While Abbas would go out to work to support his family, Penni would take the role of caring for the children. She was a protective and a devoted mother. They both would work as a team and were able to provide a fortunate life for their family.

Penni was a type of woman that loved to crack corny jokes, along with her sarcasm to complement her jokes. She had a passion for cooking and learning different dishes. She would watch the cooking network and get inspired. She would try new recipes and would love to try different dishes, but her favorite would be Chinese.

She treasured her family and friends especially her grandson, Ethan which she adored. She was a loving grandmother and was Ethan’s favorite babysitter. Penni cherished moments with Ethan whether it was being able to attend his baseball games or making Ethan’s favorite dish, Mazto ball soup. When Penni wasn’t with her dearest grandson, she would also enjoy moments with her daughters and her best friend Elaine at Friday night dinners. Penni leaves behind wonderful memories with her family and friends and preserves the love she had for them.

Penni is survived by her loving husband Abbas; her daughters Kim Findura and her husband Michael, Gina Khorsandpour; her brother Jesse Wiederspiel; her grandson Ethan Findura; and her dear friend Elaine. Penni is predeceased by her two sisters Lynn Shawah and Tina Chiarella.

The family will welcome guests for a visitation from 9-10:30 Saturday June 27, with a service that will begin at 10:30 at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in memory of Penni.
