Sarah Petruccelli

Obituary of Sarah E Petruccelli

Sarah “Sally” E. Petruccelli, 94, passed away July 11, 2021.

Sally was born to Amos and Jenny Gokey in St. Albany Vermont, where she also grew up with her 14 siblings. She later had 4 children of her own where she raised in Paterson NJ. She married her late husband Arthur Petruccelli in October 31, 1962. Sally worked at Joanne’s Shoes then went on to work as a cookie packer at Nabisco in Fairlawn.

Sally loved bowling, her main spots were Peerless and Bowl-O-Mat. She was talented at the sport; she won the 200 award and one time won a 300 game. Sally indulged in shopping and enjoyed her days browsing malls, especially with her best friend Marilyn. Besides malls, Sally would love to go to casinos. Some of her favorite casinos to gamble were Tropicana and Mount Airy in Pennsylvania.

Sally had many activities she enjoyed, but spending her free time with her family is what she would cherish most. She would treasure the times she would babysit her grandson, or share memories with her children, grandchildren or great grandchildren. She was known to her family and friends as a straightforward, honest and feisty woman. She had much love for the ones she cared about but would follow the role to be the one that her friends and family can come to for advice or consulting.

Sally is survived by her daughter Debbie Scott; grandchildren Dawn Gokey, David Gokey, Tracy Horn, Jason Scott, Michael Scott, Mathew Horn, Andrew Horn, and Timothy Horn; her great grandchildren Mark and Dan Halibrok, Adeline Scott, Dean and Montgomery Scott; her brother and sister-in-laws Frank and Marilyn Petruccelli, Angelo and Ester Petruccelli, Joseph and Barbara Petruccelli and her son-in-law David Jones. Sally is predeceased by her late husband Arthur, her children David Gokey, Jeffrey Horn, and Rhonda Jones; her daughter and son-in-laws Corey Horn, John Scott and her sister-in-law Jesse Dambroski.

Funeral Services will be held privately for the family.
