Obituary of Nadine Schrank Sanchez
Nadine Schrank Sanchez, 64, of West Milford, died peacefully Wednesday, November 10, 2021 in the care of her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Nadine's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she was with us.
Born in Passaic, Nadine was the daughter of Robert and Elaine Schrank. Along with her brother Robert, she was raised in Passaic, and graduated from Passaic High School in 1975.
In July of 1980, she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Frank Sanchez. The couple started their family in Passaic before settling in West Milford in 1989, where they raised their three children.
Nadine was talented in so many aspects of her life but what she loved most was caring for her family. Her children were always encouraged to bring their friends home, and she loved to be a host to all. She was selfless, and completely devoted to her family. After the birth of her first child, she decided to leave her job to stay at home to take care of her family. Always supportive and encouraging, always wise and kind, she was extremely proud of them. She always wanted her children to feel as much love and support like she had from her parents and happily provided daily care for her grandchildren, creating such strong bonds with each of them.
Nadine was a beautiful human being, inside and out. She loved to take care of everyone around her, and made her home such a warm and comforting place to be. She loved decorating, cooking, baking, and entertaining her family and friends. She was quite the hostess, always offering an abundance of great food, much laughter and wine.
The most special times in Nadine's life were spent with the ones she loved. She lived life to the fullest, with such a drive of passion for life. Summers in the Sanchez family included vacations to Long Beach Island, where she loved playing board games with her family and spending the days on the beach with her toes in the sand. Nadine has truly touched the lives of so many and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Nadine is lovingly survived by her husband, Frank; her mother, Elaine Schrank; her children, Kelly Lynn and husband Nickolas, Kyle Sanchez and wife Sarah, and Casey Sanchez and girlfriend Alex Titmas; and her grandchildren, Logan and Evan Lynn and Liliana and Sophia Sanchez.
She was predeceased by her father, Robert Schrank, and her brother, Robert Schrank.
Visiting hours will be Monday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday, also at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society in Nadine's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
