Obituary of Patrick Manogue

Please share a memory of Patrick to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Patrick Michael Manogue, 58, of Dover, NJ passed away suddenly on January 12, 2022.
Born on February 27, 1963, to his loving parents, Jean and James Manogue, Patrick immediately
filled the lives of those around him with joy. Patrick graduated from the Briarwood School in
1984 and worked at the Gruenert Center from 1985 to 2018.

Patrick loved to listen to country music, especially Roy Rogers and Johnny Cash. He was a natural performer and entertained his family and friends by singing to them, dressed as his favorite singers, while strumming on his guitar.

Patrick liked to do impressions, and he did an excellent impression of Robin Williams as Popeye. Patrick was a big fan of Batman, and he often dressed as the Caped Crusader to entertain his friends. Another of Patrick’s passions was trains. He traveled regularly to Strasburg, PA with his family to ride the steam train there.

Patrick was preceded in death by his mother and father and by his brother, David. He is survived by his brother, Jerry, and 8 nieces and nephews and their families. Outgoing and affectionate, Patrick made friends wherever he went. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

No services will be held at this time. Donations in Patrick’s memory can be made to the
Gruenert Center program by following the link ( and selecting
“Department for Persons with Disabilities Donation” from the dropdown. (Please specify
