Obituary of Wallace Lance Cooper

Wallace “Lance” Cooper, 75, passed away February 16, 2022.

 

Lance grew up in North Arlington, NJ. He attended North Arlington High School where he was proud of being part of the school’s Football Hall of Fame. He entered the Air Force in 1966 and was honorably discharged in 1970. Lance moved to Clifton in 1986, where he lived until 2021.

 

Lance was an amazing man. He would light up the room with his charming personality. He was the type of person to always lend a helping hand. He had a talent to fix cars, motorcycles, houses and build just about anything he put his mind to. Lance was strong physically and at heart. He was proud of his bodybuilding days and the accomplishments in the competitions he won. He was born with a competitive spirit, which made it easy for Lance to be good at playing football, bodybuilding, go-kart racing and just about any other sport. He made friends wherever he went.

 

Lance is survived by his wife Marie; his children Leanne Fisher and her husband John, Jason Cooper and his wife Jennifer, Michael Cooper and his fiancé Amberlynn Alvarado; his grandchildren Tara Fisher and her wife Emma, Travis Fisher, and Taylor Cooper; his 2 great grandchildren as well many other family members and friends.

 

There will be a memorial visitation from 1-5pm at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home. Words of Remembrance will be held at 4:30pm.
