Richard was born in Palestine to Ibrahim and Lorris. He grew up in Egypt but later wanted to move on to a new life to the United States. Between his travels to the US and Egypt, he ended up meeting the love of his life, Anissa. They both ended up settling together to in the US to start a new life. They married in 1976 in the local courthouse and later raised their children in Wanaque NJ. Richard worked for Pfister Chemical for 33 years as a supervisor. He later moved on to real estate working for Century 21 A-Plus Realty in 2002 along with his wife. He then moved on to Century 21 Preferred Realty in 2007 till his retirement.
Richard was an amazing photographer. He had an artistic ability to capture the beauty of nature in a photo and also had an eye for doing portraits. He was a musician at heart, he played the guitar, the piano and in his earlier years the clarinet. Richard had a love for classical music and French oldies. He will be missed for the love he had for his family and sharing his dry sense of humor to others.
Richard is survived by his wife Anissa; his sons David- John Massad and his wife Theresa and Christopher Massad and his wife Danielle; his grandchildren Robert, Matthew and Connor.
A Memorial Service will be held May 15, 2022 at 11am at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home. For family and friends that are not able to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed.
