

Obituary of Kathleen Conklin
Kathleen Conklin, 79, of Bloomingdale, passed away on May 25, 2022.
Born on May 22, 1943 in Paterson, Kathleen was the daughter of the late David and Esther Saner (youngest of 8 children). She was predeceased by her brother David, her sister in-law Joan, her brother in-law Lenny, and her niece Cheryl.
Kathy was a graduate of Butler High School. She worked for several years at American Cyanamid where she met her husband of 52 years, Bruce. Following the birth of her daughter Christine, she stayed at home raising her and her son David. She was a proud member of the Bloomingdale United Methodist Church where she was on several committees. She was an advocate for the rights of kids with disabilities and spent hours battling boards of educations as well as teaching children through the March of Dimes program “Kids on the Block”. She was direct and loving, determined and caring and she had a great sense of humor. Above all she loved her family, her cousins and friends like no other.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, Bruce; her daughter, Christine; her son, David and his wife Kimberlee; her grandsons, Ethan and Brady; her sister, Barbara Cioletti; and her nieces and nephews, Bill, Bryan, Kathy, Lori, Mindy and her great nieces & nephews.
Services will be held at Bloomingdale United Methodist Church at 12pm on Saturday June 4th with her burial of ashes to follow at Laurel Grove in Totowa. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Bloomingdale United Methodist Church or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's.
