Obituary of Cecelia M Nocella

Cecelia M. (Baumann) Nocella, 97 years old, has lived at St Joseph's Home in Totowa, NJ the past eight years, and passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at St Joseph's Hospital in Paterson, NJ.

Ceil was born in Paterson, NJ on April 5,1925 to the loving parents of Cecelia( Sherlock) and Martin J. Baumann of Paterson, NJ.

Ceil Attended Central High School in Paterson, NJ and began her 25 year plus working career at New Jersey Bell Telephone, and after raising a family returned to AT&T as a Supervising Phone Representative.

Ceil married Frank, at St. Bonaventure Church in Paterson, NJ on June 12, 1948, and enjoyed 60 years of a loving marriage until Frank's passing on February 14, 2008.  Ceil enjoyed family gatherings, Erskine Lakes summers, the NJ shore, and her family.

Ceil is survived by her son, Frank P. Nocella and his wife Linda; her sister, Delores Bruning; grandchildren, Susan L. Bunker and her husband John Bunker, John J. Mooney and his wife Melinda, Jennifer Chandler Zechman and her husband Scott, and David Chandler; and several great grandchildren, nieces,nephews, and cousins. Ceil was pre-deceased by her daughter, Frances C. Chandler, and her brother, Joseph Baumann.

Due to Covid, the funeral service will be totally online by video streaming on Wednesday July 13,2022, at the Little Sisters of the Poor, Totowa, NJ by Father Sean McDonnell.  There will be a 9:30 am viewing and 10:30 am Mass.
