Obituary of Steven Stergion

Please share a memory of Steven to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Steven Stergion, 79, passed away July 13th, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones.

Steve was born in Jersey City NJ and graduated from Snyder High School. After high school, Steve built a 20ft speedboat and, in honor of his mother, named it “Proud Mary”. Many hours were spent on the boat. Most especially 4th of July in Liberty Harbor.

Steve’s career began in sheet metal and went to home building and as the years went on, home remodels and repairs. Steve was a devout man of faith whose greatest joy in his life were his kids and grandkids. He was a role model and provider to his family.

Steve always carried a sunny outlook and acted charitably in all circumstances. Steve instilled the value of hard work and the importance of taking care of your loved ones into his kids and grandkids.

Anyone who knew Steve knew his innate curiosity and innovative ways. Always had the newest gadgets. He also enjoyed the simple things in life and was happiest while surrounded by his children, grandchildren, family, and friends for a good meal and quality time.

Steve leaves his loved ones with wonderful memories of a loving father, grandpa and friend.

He is survived by his loving partner Margaret; his children Joseph, Steven Jr., Christopher and wife Susie and Maggi and husband Nick; he also leaves behind his grandchildren Antoine, Angie, Sante and Shane.

Funeral services will be held privately for the family.
