Violetta "Viola" Milano, 95, of Riverdale, passed away on July 26, 2022.

Born and raised in Greenwich Village, NY, Viola was one of eleven children born to Giusseppe and Lucretia Pagano. Viola remained in Greenwich Village until 1991 and had been a resident of Riverdale for the last 15 years. The most important thing to Viola was her family and she loved to be surrounded by them. She was an excellent cook, an avid dancer, and a member of the Bloomingdale Seniors.

Viola is survived by her daughter, DIane Coyne; her son, Carl Milano and his wife Dale; her grandchildren, Rick Mazza and his wife Lauren, Raina Yurchak and her husband Kevin, Carl Milano, Jr. and his wife Melissa, and Lawrence Milano; and her great grandchildren, Brody, Brooke, Dallas, Peyton, Katie, and Leah. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence; and her son in-law, Herbert Coyne.

Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, July 29 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A funeral Mass will be held 9:00 am Saturday at St. Mary's RC Church, Pompton Lakes. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Queens, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Viola's memory to your local animal shelter or Blue Army Shrine, PO Box 976, Washington, NJ 07882 would be greatly appreciated by her family.
