Obituary of Robert Lewis

Robert "Bob" Lewis 66 passed away unexpectedly October 27th at his home in Hamburg, NJ. Originally from Tenafly, the son of Donald & Judith and a 1974 graduate of Tenafly High School. Bob met Susan Binderman (former wife) of Miami Florida while both attended The American University. Married in 1979, Bob & Susan raised three children Nicholas, Andrew & Erica in the Closter area.

Professionally, Bob worked for the majority of his career in the family business Periphery Loungewear in New York City where he oversaw manufacturing.

Bob has resided in the Sussex County area where he was extremely active and proud of his involvement in AA; where he was known as "Bob L". establishing many great friendships and served as a mentor to many.

Bob is survived by his children, Nicholas married to Megan (nee Chalfin), Andrew & his wife Amy (nee Gordon) & daughter Erica Einhorn & her husband Josh. Mother Judith Lewis, brother Michael, sister & Brother n Law Nancy & Barry Birnbaum.  However, Bob was known as the proud “Papa,” of his 4 grandchildren Hunter, Sydney & Jake, and Liam. He was a dedicated fan of the Grateful Dead and ALL New York sports teams until the very end.

Funeral Services will be held graveside Tuesday Nov 1st Time, 11:30am at Mount Hebron Cemetery located at 130-04 Horace Harding Expy, Queens, NY 11367.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Bob, to Temple Emanuel of Closter New Jersey or Alcohol Anonymous (Area 44, Sussex County, NJ) would be greatly appreciated by his family.
