Gloria P. Van Loan, 89, of Pompton Plains, passed away on November 3, 2022.

The daughter of William and Verna Pfeffer, Gloria was the middle of their three children. She was raised in eastern Pennsylvania and moved to Pompton Plains 63 years ago with her husband, William Van Loan, to raise their family. Gloria was an avid golfer and made many lasting friendships through the sport. She loved traveling with her husband, singing in the church choir, and being surrounded by her family.

Gloria is lovingly survived by her children, Karen Cuzzolino and her husband Robert, William Van Loan and his wife Kathleen, and Nancy Wood and her husband Michael; her son in-law, Dwight Booker; her grandchildren, Daniel Cuzzolino and his wife Megan, Natalie Gillies and her husband Neal, Kevin Van Loan, Peter Van Loan and his wife Cassey, Rachel Booker Davidson and her husband Ian, Eric Wood and his wife Kelly, Caroline Wood and her fiance Philip Binaco, and Rebeccah Wood; and her great grandchildren, Maria Cuzzolino, Gavin Gillies, and Hannah Van Loan. She was predeceased by her husband, William Van Loan; her granddaughter, Sarah Wood; her daughter, Susan Booker; her older sister, Miriam Iacono; and her younger brother, William Pfeffer.

Visiting hours will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 pm Sunday, November 6 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria's memory to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research or the Melanoma Research Foundation would be greatly appreciated by her family.
