Obituary of Mary Macejka

Marie Macejka (nee Beltempo), 97, of Pompton Plains passed peacefully on November 9, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. Marie was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a woman of class and beauty, both inside and out. She always saw the best in others and felt compelled to share her strong faith, compassion and encouragement, making others feel good about themselves in her presence.

Marie was born and raised in Passaic NJ. When she married her late husband Vincent, the two of them raised their 3 children in Clifton NJ. She was part of the cosmetic industry for many years and enjoyed making people feel beautiful, even visiting nursing homes to spread her beauty skills. When her husband passed in 1998, she moved to Pompton Plains where she remained until her passing. She was a devout Christian and worshipped at Cornerstone Chapel where she enjoyed bible study and worshiping with friends. She was also an avid traveler who enjoyed seeing the world. Her greatest joy though was her family, she would always say she was happiest when her entire family was under one roof. You never left her home hungry, many would say, she would always feed you whether you were hungry or not!

Marie is predeceased by her late husband Vincent Macejka, her brother Salvatore Beltempo and her sister Jay Bevilacqua.

She is lovingly survived by her three children, daughter Diane Linzenbold, predeceased by her son in law George Linzenbold, her daughter Debra Glerum and her fiancé Craig Ball, predeceased by son in law Brian Glerum, her son Glen Macejka and his wife Susan. She also leaves behind her brother Daniel Beltempo. She was a loving grandmother to Stacy Linzenbold and her partner Nicole, Steven Linzenbold and his wife Stacey, Jeffrey Linzenbold and his girlfriend Tai, Derek Glerum and his wife Abby, Justin Glerum and his wife Michelle, Sean Glerum and his fiancé Sarah, Ryan Macejka and his fiancé Lexi, and Tyler Macejka and his girlfriend Colleen; her great- grandchildren Nate Linzenbold, Zoey Linzenbold, Regan Glerum, Emersyn Glerum, Bryson Glerum and James Glerum.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday November 13, 2022 from 3-6pm. A funeral service will be held in Marie’s honor following visitation at 5:30pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson NJ Monday November 14, 2022. At 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimers Association would be appreciated.
