Obituary of Roger W Scott

Roger William Scott, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2022, at the age of 82.

He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, to his parents, John and Marie Scott. Roger was a proud graduate of Villanova University and spent his career in accounting while serving as a Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for multiple companies. Roger married his loving wife, Marie, on August 15, 1964, and they enjoyed 58 years of marriage and family together with their three children, John, Doreen and Keith. He was an active long-time member and resident of the Smoke Rise Community in Kinnelon, New Jersey, including serving on the Board of Governors. Roger was an avid Mets, Jets, and Knicks fan and enjoyed many years of coaching baseball and playing tennis, golf, and bowling. 

Roger is survived by his wife, Marie, their son, John, his wife, Jeanine, and their children Josie, Dylan and Dean; and their daughter, Doreen, her husband, Michael, and their children Mia and Sophie; and their son, Keith, his wife, Amanda, and their children Alyssa, Daniel, Jackson and Nicolas. 

He is loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 

Visitation will be held Friday November 11, 2022 at M. John Scanlan Funeral Home from 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday November 12, 2022 at 9am at Our Lady of the Magnifcat Chapel in Kinnelon, NJ. Repast to follow the Mass.
