Obituary of Donald Costic

Donald Costic passed away in his home in Pompton Plains on November 13, 2022. He was 91. Born in Dixon City, Pennsylvania, he grew up in Pompton Lakes, NJ and lived in Wayne, NJ for most of his life, until moving to Pompton Plains seventeen years ago.

Donald worked as a machinist for Mac-Wayne Plastics and retired as a Security Guard for A.L.M. Plastic Fabricators, Wayne.

Donald will be remembered for being a kind and gentle soul who cherished his family. He loved animals, word games, and was an avid sports fan. He will also be remembered as a selfless, hardworking husband and father, and a proud Korean War Veteran.

He is predeceased by his dear wife Joyce Costic (2019). Donald is survived by his daughter, Michele and two sons, Donald, Jr. and his wife, Lori; and Michael and his wife, Rocio; and his grandchildren Cole, Brielle, Brianna, Kayla, Stephen, Daniel and Sarah.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022  from 10:30am to 11:30am in the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, 781 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains, NJ.  Interment to follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562
