Obituary of Vaughn James Cahill

Vaughn J. Cahill, 77, died peacefully on November 16, 2022 with family by his side.  Raised in Bloomingdale, he spent most of his adult years in Denville and Rockaway, NJ.  A graduate of Butler High School and Fairleigh Dickinson University, he enjoyed a long career with Exxon Mobile in Florham Park, retiring in 2000.

He was a sports lover and a life-long Yankee fan who was known for his quick wit.  He was pre-deceased by his parents, James H. and Catherine Cahill.  He is survived by a daughter Jennifer Skilowitz of Hillsboro, Oregon, two grandsons, Jared Skilowitz of Eugene, Oregon and David Skilowitz of Corvallis, Oregon and a sister, Gail Cahill of Pompton Plains, NJ.

Funeral services will be held graveside on Saturday, December 3rd at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa at 11AM.
