Catherine and Bill loved to roller skate and travel together. She was also an avid linedancer and liked to garden and collect rocks from every state and country she'd visit.

Catherine is lovingly survived by her children, Gary Carlson and his wife Sharon, Linda Vreeland, and Kenneth Carlson and his wife Dawn; her grandchildren, Brandt Vreeland, Cody Carlson, Kristen Cain, and Thomas Cain; and her great granddaughters, Brianna and Arya. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill; her brother, Kenneth Carlson; and her sisters, Lillian Hedlund and Florence O'Hara.

Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 8 pm Friday, November 25 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A funeral service will be held during the visitation at 7 pm. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Catherine's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or American Heart Association would be greatly appreciated by her family.
