Patricia R. Taranto of Stockholm, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022. She was 85.

 

Born in Paterson to Albert and Mary Curley Rainey. Patricia/Patsy/Pat was a proud registered nurse, a graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing, Jersey City State University, and Montclair State University. She was a long-time school nurse, guidance counsellor, and student assistance coordinator in the Bloomingdale, Cedar Grove, Sussex Vo-Tech and Newton school systems. She was involved with St. Mary’s Church and Pathways Counseling Center, and many organizations.

 

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Pasquale; and is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Taranto and her husband, Peter Riemer; her sons, Joseph Patrick and his wife, Catherine and Michael and his wife, Lori Anderson; and her beloved grandchildren, Patrick, Jonathan, Emily, and Katie.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 23 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Pompton Lakes. The family will receive visitors at St. Mary’s Church on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Cremation will be private.
