Obituary of Albert F Karaitis

Albert F. Karaitis, of Lincoln Park, passed away on November 19, 2022.

The son of Albert and Loretta “Lottie” Karaitis, Albert (“Al”) was born in Pottsville, PA and grew up in Patterson, NJ, and later Riverdale, NJ. After graduating from high school, Al proudly served in the US Army and Reserves from 1958 until 1964 and was named Soldier of the Month in May of 1959.

Al later earned his Bachelor's degree in engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson university in 1972 and his Master's degree in 1976. He had a long career as a mechanical engineer for AT&T, retiring as project manager.

Al resided in Lincoln Park, NJ and previously Pompton Plains. He was an avid NY Giants and NY Yankees fan and a dedicated family man who cherished his children and grandchildren.

Al is lovingly survived by his daughters, Deanna, Caralyn, and Nancy Karaitis; his son, James Karaitis; and his grandchildren, Thomas Price and Andrew Karaitis.

Funeral services were held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Albert's memory to the local VFW  or to Disabled Veterans National Foundation (dvnf.org) would be greatly appreciated by his family.
