Obituary of Judith Ann Taylor

Please share a memory of Judith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Judith Ann Taylor (nee Haase) 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 in the care of her daughter and son at her home.

Born in Passaic, New Jersey, the only child of Ernest and Julia Mary Haase (nee Glazer), Judith grew up in Clifton, New Jersey.  After High School, she attended college for some business coursework and started her career.

One evening at a social event Judith went to with her friends; she soon met the love of her life, John W. Taylor Sr. as he “accidentally bumped into her”.  From the moment they met, dated and fell in love with each other the adventure began and they married April 30, 1971.  Judith and John started their family while living in Clifton, NJ.  A few years later in October 1982 they purchased their forever home in Pompton Plains, NJ where they had resided for the rest of their lives.  Judith had volunteered and worked as a Lunch Aide where her children attended school at Stephen J. Gerace Elementary and Pequannock Valley Middle School.  She then later continued her career working in offices at Nikko Ceramics, Reeves International and retiring as Office Manager for REMAX Home Connection, Pinebrook, NJ.

Judith was a beautiful mother and woman who always wore a smile and gave a caring hug.  Enjoying her time with family and friends on day trips, dinners, movies, museums and plays.  She mostly enjoyed the home life her and John had built in town.  Along with many family vacations covering every state on the East Coast over the course of her lifetime and spending the weekends at her getaway beach house.  Her favorite hobbies were baking, shopping, home craft projects, pencil color drawings of horses and wildlife, painting and caring for her pets.

But most of all, Judith loved her family “till death do us part”.

Judith is predeceased by her forever-dear husband, John William Taylor Sr. (2006) and her parents Ernest Haase (1985) and Julia Haase (2007).

She is survived by her two loving children; John William Taylor, Jr. and Sharon Ann Taylor.  Along with her loving ‘little rascal’ Rat Terrier dog Darla.  Judith also leaves behind many other family and friends who have touched her heart through the course of a lifetime.

Funeral Services will be private.  Rite of Christian Burial will be held in Our Lady of Magnificat Church Cemetery, 2 Miller Road, Kinnelon, New Jersey.  A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady Of Good Counsel, Pompton Plains, NJ at a later date.
