

Obituary of Michael Boyle
Michael W. Boyle, 74, of Manahawkin, formerly of Towaco, died Saturday, December 24, 2022.
Born in Paterson, Michael was the son of Edmund and Rose Boyle. Growing up in Paterson, he was a graduate of Passaic County Technical Academy.
Following graduation, Michael proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was stationed in Korea. Returning home, he started working at the Gamlen Chemical Company in Elmwood Park. There, he met Patrice Parent. The two soon fell in love, and on February 12, 1972, they married.
Following in his father's footsteps, Michael became a Police Officer with the City of Paterson. Michael proudly served the city for more than 30 years, retiring in 2002 as a Detective. He loved his career, and following retirement, worked for the Passaic County Prosecutor's office.
Always a man willing to be of service, Michael joined the volunteers at Ground Zero in Manhattan following the attacks on 9/11.
In 2004, Michael and Patrice retired to Little Egg Harbor, and later moved to Manahawkin. They enjoyed many vacations to Aruba, St. Maarten, and Cozumel, Mexico, as well as times at the Jersey Shore.
Michael is lovingly survived by his wife of 50 years, Patrice; his children, Kelly Ziem and Ryan Boyle; his sister, Linda Young; and his granddaughter, Madison. He was predeceased by his son, Sean, in 2003, and his daughter, Colleen Michelle Stoll, in October of 2022.
Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, December 27 from 3-6:30 pm. A funeral service will be held at 6:30 pm, also at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations in Michael's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital would be greatly appreciated by his family.
