Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

"And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course" (Gibran).

Patricia (Tricia) Ann Billitz, 62, of Lincoln Park, NJ, beloved wife of Douglas Brian Billitz, passed away peacefully on December 28 from MS complications, a disease she courageously battled for most of her adult life. She was surrounded by her husband and soulmate of 33 years, her immediate family and the love of family and friends from around the world, especially by her mother's and father's families in Ireland. Tricia was born in Jersey City, NJ, grew up in Pompton Plains, NJ and graduated from Pequannock Township High School in 1978. She worked for many years at Star Stainless in Totowa, NJ.

Tricia and Doug loved to travel and travel the world they did. Favorite destinations included Bermuda, France, London & Ireland. On one trip to France they made a very special pilgrimage to Lourdes and submerged in the baths for their healing powers. In addition to international travel, Chicago holds many fond memories for the couple, as do many memorable trips to Florida, especially to Orlando and Sarasota to share special time with family and friends.

Tricia's smile lit up a room, her laugh was infectious and her Irish wit was quick and always a step ahead of everyone else. She had vibrant blue eyes, was the life of a party and loved music, dancing, concerts and detective shows; she was a strong opponent in trivia matches, especially involving pop culture and could quote episodes of "Law and Order". Tricia was joyful, kind, generous and great fun to be around. She will be missed beyond words.

She is survived by her loving husband Douglas Billitz, who cared for her with unselfish love and devotion, a true love story for the ages, her four siblings, Geraldine (Byrne) Van Lenten and her husband Donald of Topsfield, Ma, Madeline Byrne of Wayne, NJ, Joseph Byrne and Daniel Byrne, both of Pompton Plains, NJ. Tricia was a devoted aunt to Kaylee Fredrickson, Katie Kendrick, Tighe Van Lenten, Michael Scher, Ryan Byrne, Dylan Byrne and Aedan Byrne, and loving great aunt to Kevin and Colby Kendrick. Tricia was predeceased by her parents, Joan (O'Mullane) and Daniel (Donal) Byrne, and her nephew Kevin Daniel Van Lenten.
