Lorraine LaCorte, 93, of Pompton Plains, passed away on December 31, 2022.

Born in Clifton, Lorraine grew up in Nutley. She worked as a bookkeeper for Macmillan Publishing and Scribner Book Company for many years while raising five children with her husband, Salvatore. Lorraine's passion was singing in the church choir at Our Lady of Good Counsel, and she also enjoyed cooking and doing puzzles.
Lorraine is lovingly survived by her sons, Charles (Charlotte), Robert (Sandra), Thomas (Sue), and Steven (Bernadette); her daughter, Allison Stiroh; her grandchildren, Ryan (Kayla), Brendan (Kelly), Justin, Shawn, Devin, and Darrin LaCorte, Amanda Sarcone (Michael), Christopher and Amy LaCorte, Timothy and Brian Stiroh, and Melissa and Michelle LaCorte; her great grandsons, Michael and Nicholas Sarcone; and her brother, Bill (Carol) Ernest. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Salvatore; and her sisters, Barbara Weidemann (John), Dorothy Sutera (Larry), and Lois DeGraw (Everett). 
VIsiting hours will be held from 4 to 8 pm Monday, January 9 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A funeral Mass will be held 10am Tuesday, January 10 at Our Lady of Good Counsel RC Church, Pompton Plains. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorraine's memory to Mother Teresa Missionaries of Charity, 335 E. 145 Street, Bronx, NY 10451 would be greatly appreciated by her family.
