Obituary of Kathleen M Stetcko

Please share a memory of Kathleen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Kathleen (Kathy) M. Stetcko passed away on January 2, 2023. She was 72.

Born in Passaic, New Jersey, Kathy spent her childhood in Wayne.  Kathy and her husband, Dave (Paul) were married in 1974 and moved to Clifton to raise their family of four. Kathy and Dave moved back to Wayne in 2010.

Kathy was employed by Caldor Department Stores as an Operations Manager, followed by CompUSA, both in Totowa, at the end of her career.

Kathy was an avid Liverpool card player who was hard to beat. However, Kathy’s most favorite pastime was always spending time with her family, especially her four cherished grandchildren.  Her grandchildren loved their “Nani” dearly and will hold all memories in their hearts forever.

Kathleen is predeceased by her loving husband, Dave Stetcko (2020), sisters Mary Kay Smith and Lori Gurrieri.  She is survived by her two daughters, Brianne Ahlborn and her husband Kevin, of Pompton Lakes; and Brooke Scocozzo and her husband, Robert, of Lincoln Park; and four cherished grandchildren, Emily and Jason Scocozzo, and Madison and Christopher Ahlborn.  Kathy was one of 7 children and leaves behind 1 sister and 3 brothers, Carol Wisz, Bill Heck, Jim Lillo and Pete Lillo.  Kathy also had many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.  Family was everything to Kathy and her laugh and smile will be deeply missed.

Despite the challenges she faced daily with RA, Kathy always pushed through, remained tough and had a positive outlook on life.  Her perseverance with grace was an inspiration to all that loved her.
