Obituary of Peter Stuppiello

Peter Stuppiello, 100, passed away February 2, 2023.

Peter grew up in Newark, NJ then settled in Lincoln Park where Peter and his family built a home in 1954. He worked with ITT Federation in Nutley, NJ for 26 years as a carpenter. Peter was a beloved musician and played the guitar. He was the band leader of the Don Peters Orchestra. He was active with the Lions Club and American Legion of Lincoln Park.

Peter is predeceased by his wife Lena and son Joseph and son-in-law Frank Emerick.  He is survived by his daughter Barbara Boughton and her husband Richard and his daughter Deborah Emerick and his grandchildren Dawn Boughton, Richard Boughton Jr. and his wife Jennifer, Jason Emerick, Ryan Emerick, and Michael Emerick and great-grandchildren AngeLena Auriemma, Gavin Boughton and Taylor Boughton.

A viewing will be held Sunday February 5, 2023 from 2-5pm at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home. A Funeral service will be held during the viewing at 3pm. Entombment will take place Monday February 6, 2023 at Holy Cross Cemetery.
