Obituary of Carol Hill

Carol Hill, 86, of Pompton Plains, formerly of Little Falls, passed away on February 6, 2023.

Carol grew up in West Paterson and married Robert J. Hill. The couple settled in Little Falls where they raised their two children. Carol's passion in life was helping others, and it was a key part of who she was. She worked as an RN in the ER and operating room, volunteered as an advisor to the Governor on child abuse, and served on the board for the NJ Division of Family and Youth Services. In her 60's, Carol began working toward earning her Master's Degree from Caldwell College in counseling. She believed in helping her loved ones by sitting down with a cup of tea and talking through their problems. Our little nurse has finished her shift and gone home to be with her husband.

Carol is lovingly survived by her children, John Hill and Patricia Moraitis and her husband Dennis; and her granddaughter, Jaime Moraitis. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert J. Hill in 2017.

Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 8 pm Thursday, February 9 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A memorial service will be held 11 am Saturday at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Pompton Plains. www.scanlanfuneral.com
