Martin C. Brunner, 73, of Pequannock, died Saturday, October 7, 2006 at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pompton Plains.
Born in Passaic, Martin was the son of the late Martin and Margaret Brunner.
A veteran of the United States Army, Martin married Joan Chase, and together the couple settled in Pequannock in 1959, raising four children.
To support his growing family, Martin worked as an electronic technician at the Picatinny Arsenal.
He was an active resident in Pequannock, volunteering for the Pequannock First Aid Squad, and once serving as the Squad?s president. He was also an active parishioner of Holy Spirit R.C. Church, also in Pequannock.
He is survived by his wife Joan; his sons Todd of Mine Hill and Jeff of Pequannock; his daughters Deborah Brunner of Pequannock and Laurie Murphy of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; and his grandchildren Meghan Murphy, Kirsten Brunner and Brett Brunner.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Lorraine Stagnol.
Funeral services will commence 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, and will proceed to a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at Holy Spirit R.C. Church in Pequannock. Burial will immediately follow at the First Reformed Church Cemetery in Pompton Plains.
Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
