Richard A. Brown Sr., 65, of Pompton Plains, died Monday, January 29, 2007 at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pompton Plains.
Born in Paterson, Richard was the son of the late Albert and Lurrene Brown.
Marrying Linda Pancheri on January 1, 1964, the couple settled in Clifton before moving to Pequannock Township in 1971, where they raised three children.
To support his family, Richard was owner of North Jersey Seamless Gutter.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was passionate about his hobbies, which included hunting, fishing and stamp collecting.
He was the ultimate hard worker, says his family, and could find a friend in anyone.
Richard is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda; his sons, Richard Jr. and Joseph, both of Pompton Plains; his daughter, Karen Lindgren of Pompton Plains; his brother, Robert Brown of Pennsylvania; his sister, Margaret Wlordek of New York; and his grandchildren, Wesley, Blake, Trevor, Tucker, and Cameron Brown and Madeline and Aidan Lindgren.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be private.
