Raymond "Doug" Hagaman, Jr., age 86, of Wayne, passed away on August 5, 2017.
Raised in Hillside, NJ, Doug was a Korean War veteran serving on the Navy destroyer USS John Hood. He was an electrical engineer for Monroe and Singer-Kearfott. Doug was a devoted family man who, with his wife, the late Sally (Byrne) Hagaman, raised three children in the Packanack Lake section of Wayne.
On his time off Doug enjoyed puttering in his yard, vacationing, celebrating happy occasions with family and an occasional trip to Atlantic City casinos. Doug will always be remembered as a true gentleman and for his good nature, courtesy and witty humor.
Doug is predeceased by his parents Raymond Douglas Sr. and Jeannette Adelaine Ferry Hagaman and his sister, Jeanne Constance Harris. He is survived by his three children; Scott Hagaman and his wife Laurie of Andover, NJ, Jane Oeler and her husband Dieter of Pompton Lakes, NJ and Pamela Bunce and her husband Robert of Cary, NC. Doug had eight grandchildren whom he adored: Emily, Colleen and Kevin Bunce; Sean, Ryan and Kelsey Oeler, and Matthew and Kristin Hagaman.
His remembrance will be celebrated by his family in a private ceremony when he joins his devoted wife and the many generations of Hagamans laid to rest at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Millstone, NJ.
