Mary Infantino, 84, of Pompton Plains, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018.
Born in New York City, Mary was the daughter of Nicola and Vincenza Maniscalco. Raised in New York, she married Lawrence Infantino, and with him settled in New York.
In 1974, the couple moved to Pompton Plains with their four children. Sadly, Lawrence passed away in 1978, and Mary returned to work to help support herself and her children, at times taking on three jobs to keep things going.
Mary was a great mom, and was known for her great Italian style cooking. She was always prepared to feed an Army – and she loved to entertain. Everyone was always welcomed at Mary's table.
Mary is lovingly survived by her children: Anthony Infantino and his wife Kim Feijoo, Nicholas Infantino, Josephine Coco and her husband Robert; her brother, Frank Maniscalco and his wife Judy, her grandchildren: Jennifer, Nicole, Joey and Kaileigh, her great-grandchildren, Bella and Jack, her niece Karla & nephew Nicholas. She was predeceased by her son, Lawrence, in 2017.
Visitation will be Monday from 3PM to 7PM at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Good Counsel RC Church, Pompton Plains. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society in Mary's memory would be greatly appreciated by the Infantino family.
