On Wednesday, June 6th, Alice Abbott Arnold (90) of Pequannock, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family.
She was born in Newark, NJ on December 9, 1927, and graduated from Barringer High School. She was married to Calvin C. Arnold on February 27, 1948. Calvin predeceased her in August of 2015.
Alice moved to Pequannock in December of 1952. She was a long-time active member of Grace Bible Church of Pompton Plains, serving in many areas, including the Choir and on the Missions Committee. She and her husband had a passion for missions and were actively involved with the Gospel Mission of South America beginning in 1956.They tooka number of trips to South America through the years to attend annual GMSA conferences and to visit the missionaries serving in Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile.Through her gracious hospitality and faithful prayers, she touched so many lives.
Alice will be sorely missed by many, including her children: William and his wife Patricia of Pompton Plains; Susan Angood and her husband John of Parsippany; Stephen and his wife Diana of Wantage; and Paul of Franklin; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on June 23, 2018 at Grace Bible Church of Pompton Plains, 150 Sunset Road, Pompton Plains, NJ 07444.
