Aleta Utter, 66, of Pompton Plains, passed away on August 6, 2018.
Born in Paterson, Aleta was the daughter of the late Gerhardt and Ann Knoll. She grew up in Totowa and married Clifford Utter in 1981, settling in Pompton Plains soon after. Aleta was an active member of the First Reformed Church of Lincoln Park where she alone directed the card ministry.
Aleta is survived by her husband, Clifford; her siblings, Greg Knoll and his wife Yvonne, Brian Knoll and his wife Candy, Farrin Knoll and his wife Gail, Coleen Johnson and her husband Charles, Heather Petruzziello and her husband Carmen, Lance Knoll and his wife Ada, and Vanare Knoll and his wife Louise; her sister-in-law, Helen Anne Shough; her sister-in-law, Linda Kurtz and her husband Joel; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, August 12 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains.
