Timothy Kraft, 62, of Pompton Plains, passed away on January 21, 2019.
The son of the late Arthur and Helen Kraft, Tim was a longtime resident of Pompton Plains. He graduated from Kings College with a BS degree in chemistry and had a long career with Honeywell (formerly Allied-Signal). Tim was an avid runner and especially enjoyed playing chess. He participated in many chess tournaments and clubs and was also an active member of Jacksonville Chapel.
Tim was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Arthur Kraft. He is survived by his aunt, Marie Severenuk; and his cousin, Peter Severenuk and his wife Tamara, and their children, Jacob, Jeremy and Ryan. He was predeceased by his cousin, David Severenuk, and is survived by David's wife, Susan, and their children, David and Laura.
Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 8 pm Wednesday, January 23 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A funeral service will be held 10 am Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at First Reformed Church Cemetery, Pompton Plains.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tim's memory to Jacksonville Chapel Missionary Fund would be greatly appreciated by his family.
