Christopher Michael Stasiak, 30, of Pequannock, died Monday, February 4, 2019.
Born at Chilton Hospital in Pompton Plains, Christopher was the first of three sons born to Lenny and Donna Stasiak. Raised in Pompton Plains, Christopher graduated from Pequannock High School in 2006.
Christopher was an active athlete for much of his youth, playing football, wrestling and Little League baseball. As a 12 year old, he and his teammates enjoyed competing with the All Star Baseball team, and made it all the way to the finals in Bristol, CT.
He was a longtime fan of the Mets, the Jets, the Rangers, and Penn State football and an avid professional golf fan. Along with his brothers, he loved being a fan, and would travel to games with them as often as he could.
Sports continued to be a large part of Christopher’s adult life, as he took up golf and played in the Pequannock Men’s Softball league for many years.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Christopher became a Sheet Metal worker, and was employed by Local 25. He loved his job, was good at what he did and worked hard at it.
Family vacations were a yearly tradition in the Stasiak family, and Christopher greatly enjoyed their yearly treks all over the world, including to the Outer Banks in North Carolina and most recently to Ireland. Being with his family brought him the most joy of all.
Christopher is survived by his parents, Leonard and Donna Stasiak; his brothers, Kevin Stasiak and his wife Julie, and Nicholas Stasiak; his grandmothers, Barbara Primamore and Roberta Stasiak; his uncles, Richard Primamore, Jr. and Glen Stasiak; his aunt Robin Weiss and her husband John; his nephew Austin Stasiak; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Richard Primamore and Leonard Stasiak.
Visitation will be Friday from 4-8pm at Our Lady of Good Counsel RC Church, Pompton Plains. A Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations to NJ Sharing Network, Attn: Foundation, 691 Central Ave, New Providence, NJ 07974 would be greatly appreciated by the Stasiak family.
