Gail M. Orrok, 68, of Wayne, died Saturday, September 7, 2019.
Raised in Wayne, she was the daughter of Joe and Rose Albertini. As a member of the first graduating class from Wayne Hills High School in 1968, she soon married Edwin Orrok. The two spent the first years of their marriage in Texas, where Ed was stationed in Corpus Christi during his time with the Navy.
Returning to New Jersey in the mid-1970s, the settled in West Milford, where they raised a son, Derek. Following the death of her father, Gail bought her childhood home in Wayne in 1999, and has lived in the township ever since.
Gail spent her career as a beautician, and worked in many salons throughout the area -- most recently, Fierce Salon in Wayne. She loved her job, and her customers loved her.
When she wasn't working, Gail loved to be outside, working in her garden, one with the earth. She would take a break daily, though, to catch Days of Our Lives, her favorite show.
Gail was a very caring person, and was dearly loved by her family and friends. She was always up for being picked on, and would laugh along as her family teased her.
She is lovingly survived by her son, Derek Orrok and his wife Andrea; her brother, Joe Albertini and his wife JoEllen; her nieces and nephew, Eileen Blom, Julianne Serratelli, Lisa Blauvelt, and Rich Albertini; and her Goddaughter, Denise Minogue, her husband Thomas, and her children, Austin and Kyle.
A memorial Mass is being held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 18 at Our Lady of Consolation RC Church, Wayne. Cremation is private.
In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice in Gail's memory would be appreciated.
