Dr. Henderson's daughter, Suzanne and I were in the Vienna company of CATS during the 1980's. Suzanne and I had already been friends for a number of years. At one point when her parents were visiting, I became ill and lost my voice. I was recommended to see a vocal surgeon in Vienna. Of course this was frightening for me. Dr. Henderson took over as my "dad". He went with me to these appointments. Then when I had to have minor surgery there, he was with me. It meant the world to me. I felt like I had my dad with me. I felt safe. I will never forget that and ever be thankful. Suzanne, you had a truly special dad and he was so proud of you.
