Obituary of Charles A. Mitros
Charles "Charlie" Anton Mitros, 42, of Whippany, died Monday, June 8, 2020.
Born in Edison, Charlie was the youngest of three sons born to John and Katherine Mitros. Starting life in Edison, the family moved to Morristown for his teen years. Charlie graduated from Morris Catholic High School in 1996.
Charlie played football during his high school years and upon graduation he played Rugby with the Morris Lions Rugby Team, he was known as “QUARTER POUNDER”
He went on to study accounting at William Paterson University. He entered a career in Accounting, and has been employeed as a CPA with Levine Jacobs & Co., Livingstion NJ, for the past several years.
Charlie was self confident, he tolerated people but soon would become their best friend. He loved gatherings, isn’t it ironic? He enjoyed a good party and could shoot the breeze with the best of them.
Charlie loved spending time at his family's home in Brick, where he passed the hours away on the shore with a good book and a fire in the pit. Charlie really enjoyed those summer nights. He also liked to travel taking trips to locations like Cuba and Costa Rica.
Charlie was a laid-back, loving guy, and he will be dearly missed. He is lovingly survived by his mother, Katherine Mitros; his brothers, Greg Mitros and his wife Lori, and John Brian Mitros and his wife Judy; as well as his nieces and nephews, Lauren, Matthew, Bethany, Zoe, and Derek. He was predeceased by his father, John, in 2016.
Visitation will be held outside from 10:00 to 11:30 am Friday, June 12 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association would be greatly appreciated by his family.
