Tatiana “Tania” Roslik Nevistich, 87 passed away peacefully at her home in New Jersey on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 surrounded by her husband Dragutin, and two children, Sandra and Igor.
Tania was born on November 10, 1932 in Zagreb, Croatia. Tania grew up in the town of Vukovar, Croatia which bordered the River Danube. She earned her degree in Art History at the University of Zagreb where she met her husband. The couple eventually settled in Livingston, NJ, where they raised their two children.
Besides being a most wonderful, loving, giving, mother, wife and individual, Tania’s life passion was the arts and her career as an Art Conservationist. In her home studio, Prince Studio, Tania restored paintings for local art galleries, museums, and private collectors. Tania loved to travel to galleries and auction houses, honing the skill of buying and selling artwork. Our family’s home was filled with her collection of painting, antiques and furniture that she lovingly collected over so many years. Tania adored traveling throughout Europe, most especially to her home country, Croatia, visiting family, close friends, and the coast, where you would find her enjoying long swims in the Adriatic. Tania was a prolific reader, with a special love of Russian literature, which she read in Russian, her father’s mother tongue. Tatiana was an extraordinary woman whose memory will live on in our hearts forever.
Tania is survived by her husband Dragutin Nevistich of 52 years, her daughter Sandra Dunia Nevistich and her husband Dan Cipolli and his daughter Sarah, her son Igor Douglas Nevistich and his wife Margaret Thomas Nevistich, three grandchildren, Aidan, Lucas and Alexis. Her brother Vladimir Roslik and his wife Caroline Roslik, and their daughters Larissa and Melissa. She is predeceased by her mother Paula Heffner Roslik and her father Vasa (Vasilie) Roslik.
