Pauline R. Sharon, 93, of Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains, died Monday, November 9, 2020.
Born in Jersey City, Pauline was the daughter of Simone and Mary Bellini. Growing up in Hoboken, she was a graduate of Emerson High School. Following graduation, she soon earned employment at Burlington Industries in New York City, where she worked for 45 years as the Executive Secretary to the CEO.
A resident of New York City, Pauline would escape the city on weekends and holidays to visit her home in the Catskills, where she would entertain and regularly hit the slopes at Hunter Mountain. Her sister, nieces and nephews were all regular visitors, and learned to ski at Hunter as well.
Pauline met Donald in New York City in the 1960s and the two married thirty years ago. They had a great life together, and traveled the world. Trips to Italy and Greece, as well as ski vacations to Vail are most fondly remembered.
Pauline's long tenure in the textile industry gifted her a great appreciation for fabrics and patterns. Her homes were always beautifully decorated, and she enjoyed collecting art throughout her travels of the world.
Pauline is lovingly survived by her husband, Donald; her nieces, Marietta Pedano and her husband Mike, Fran Dettra and her husband Jack, and Paula Franchini; her nephew, Michael Rinaldi and his wife Blanca; and her great-nieces and nephews: Kristy Lynn, Stephanie, Gina, Ashley, Jaclyn, Nicole, Micaela, Michael Jr. and Bailey. She was predeceased by her sister, Rose Rinaldi.
